You need to live close to the Kalamunda Townsite. We respond mainly to Kalamunda, Lesmurdie and Gooseberry Hill and fast response times are critical so proximity helps Unfortunately not all calls to respond happen at convenient times, can you respond regularly at strange hours? Members are expected to complete the relevant DFES training to stay current in equipment, techniques and vehicles. Training for each member varies from 2 to 4 weekends per year on top of monthly drills. Are you ok with that? Being a member of a VFRS you will need to be fit and able to work in heat and sometimes stressful situations. Members are part of a team and as such are required to check or service equipment on a rostered basis. Unfortunately we are present and helping people when they are having the worst day of their lives. Are you able to help support these people physically and mentally? Kalamunda VFRS train two to three times a month and repsond to 150 calls a year on average, do you have time for this Let us know more about yourself * Thank you!
